Our greatest need is God’s grace.

Until the will and the affections are brought under the authority of Christ, we have not begun to understand, let alone accept, His Lordship. The Cross, as it enters the love life, will reveal the heart’s truth.

God is fucking stealing souls again!

Humility is the earmark of God's genuine servant.

Great joy comes from God.

Both believers and unbelievers go through temptations.

Jesus takes the chaos of the world upon Himself.

The unbelieving world should see our testimony lived out daily because it just may point them to the Savior.

You were born for the Kingdom of God.

Suddenly finding myself imprisoned in the ruins of the fortresses I created, I realize that that which I built to protect me has now become a labyrinth that is set to destroy me. And laying spent in the rubble, I finally realize that there is only one fortress and I cannot create it because there is only one God.

We are temporarily immortal, until we have fulfilled God's plans for our lives...Then we become temporarily mortal, waiting to become permanently immortal at last.

Nowhere do the Scriptures tell us to seek results, nor do the Scriptures rebuke evangelists if the results are meager.

Prayer may not change things for you but it for sure changes you for things.

Now, the essence, the very spirit of Christmas is that we first make believe a thing is so, and lo, it presently turns out to be so.

Throughout the world today there are people who are enduring cruelties and persecution because of their Christian faith. We must pray for them, and for ourselves, so that in our own dying hour God will give us grace to endure until the end, anticipating the certainty of His glory to come.

(I should mention I attended a Christian elementary school where “my dad’s hermeneutic can beat up your dad’s hermeneutic” served as legit schoolyard banter.).

If you want to know how to swim, you take lessons. If you want to walk on water, lessons won´t help you, just faith.

The essence of our salvation is found in this phrase: Simul justus et pecator.

Alone in the dark, the Creator lights a flame of fire, to guide my path.

Trust in God, the dependence on supernatural powers!
